Dr Michael Pratt

Dr Pratt is a military veteran that has been practicing Medicine since 1980. He is widely published in the field of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and is a recipient of the Edmund Prince Fowler Award for excellence in research given by the American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological (Triological) Society.

About Our Facility

Woodstock Ear, Nose and Throat moved to its current location at 281 Heritage Walk, Woodstock, Georgia on December 15, 2010.

Our facility was awarded the GOLD level LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

The first LEED certified building in the City of Woodstock and the first GOLD level LEED Certified building in Cherokee County: This designation was achieved by using recycled materials during construction, reducing harmful waste products and conserving environmental resources through use of natural lighting in association with efficient heating and air conditioning systems. These interventions have resulted in a comfortable, friendly office environment.

He served as a Medical Officer in the United States Navy from 1980-1991.

He completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, Calfornia in 1986, and was Board Certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 1987.

More About Dr. Michael Pratt

He was on faculty at Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, while completing his active duty naval service at Naval Hospital Charleston from 1986-1989.

Dr. Pratt was Residency Program Director of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Eastern Virginia Medical School. Norfolk, Virginia, from 1989-1996 and Vice Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School from 1995-1996.

He relocated his Otolaryngology practice to Atlanta, Georgia in 1996. He established Woodstock Ear, Nose and Throat in 2001, where he now practices full time.

Dr. Pratt is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and a fellow of many professional organizations including:

  • The American Society of Head and Neck Surgery
  • The American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological Society
  • the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

He is widely published in the field of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and is a recipient of the Edmund Prince Fowler Award for excellence in research given by the American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological (Triological) Society. 

Dr. Pratt received the prestigious Honor Award bestowed by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation in 2000 for dedicated service to the Academy.

Married with four grown children and two grandchildren, Dr. Pratt enjoys music, photography, writing poetry and playing golf.
